a quiet place to sit

Nothing to learn, nothing to get right. Choose a length, and sit until the chime.

how to sit

  1. Find a seat, comfortable but alert. Let your hands rest.
  2. Close your eyes, or soften your gaze downward.
  3. Notice your breath. You do not need to change it, just notice it.
  4. Thoughts will come. Let them come, and let them go. Return to the breath, gently, as many times as you need to.
  5. When the chime sounds, you are done. Open your eyes slowly.
